Creative Exchange Project

If you're a writer, artist or photographer and are interested in showing some of your work on our website, we'd like to hear from you. Please review our submissions guidelines and get in touch with us.

Our creative exchange project allows artists and writers to have work displayed online without going through the hassle of building and maintaining a website. We'll send you calling cards to promote your work; by bringing more visitors to the website, each participating artist or writer benefits from every other artist's efforts as well as their own. Other promotional materials may be available at times; we'll discuss options with you to determine what arrangements may work best for you.

Pay for Pixels

The fine folks at Dreamhost who provide the space and hosting for our website now allow you to donate directly to help pay for our spot on the web. If you enjoy the articles, photography and artwork that you see here on our site, why not support our work by contributing to keep us online?

Calling Cards, Brochures & Postcards (Oh My)

Do you work in a coffee shop, a bookstore, a gallery or someplace where you'd like to make information about Gatewood available to the public? We may have materials on hand that will suit your needs--if we don't have it, we can probably come up with something appropriate for you. Get in touch with us and tell us what you have in mind.

Reprints (Still Almost Free)

Due to printing costs, we no longer produce a print version of the Journal. However, we do provide copies of individual articles upon request.

You'll need to send us a self-addressed stamped envelope (in most cases, a regular #10 size envelope) with adequate postage (in most cases, one or two stamps--sorry, the postal service does not allow us to use pre-printed computer postage) and a note indicating the title of the article you want. Contact us for complete mailing details; we can estimate postage for you and have your article ready when your SASE arrives. In most cases, it'll be mailed out to you the following day.

If you prefer instant gratification and not hassling with the postal service, of course, you may also print any of our articles directly from the website.

Bookmark Project

From time to time we have free bookmarks available for libraries, resource centers and independent bookstores to pass along to readers. (After all, what better way to start thinking for yourself than to become a well-rounded reader?) If you work in a library and would like to request bookmarks, contact us with your mailing info. In the case of school libraries or programs oriented toward non-adult readers, please browse our site first to see if you think the material is appropriate for your group. The bookmarks have been donated by sponsors who wish to promote our site, and they do have the Gatewood Journal logo on them.

(You may also request bookmarks for yourself even if you don't work in a library.)

Privacy

We respect your privacy and personal information, and it is never sold or shared.

Unlike many companies, we don't utilize an outside agency to maintain our address book. Our contact list is kept offline in a secure index file to insure your privacy.
